about us

We are a modern Australian company elevating the modern Australian dream. Our family, friends and our homes come first. We love creating moments on our own terms in our own space. We unapologetically appreciate the good things in life because we’ve earned it. We’re offended by the rising cost of a simple schooner and are making it our mission to provide the same experience at your home for a fraction of the price. We believe that beers enjoyed with mates is part of our social fabric and we’re here to save it.

Beer Baron

A Physio since 2008 and a Physio business owner since 2010… in the years that followed growing to 3 locations, 35+ staff, servicing >20 000 Gold Coasters, and winning a swag of small business and industry awards. Justin was fortunate to have his Back In Motion clinics acquired by an ASX-listed company which has now given him the opportunity to transfer the knowledge gained and skills acquired into a very different field. He loves entertaining from home and wants you to do the same by what’s on offer at Tap That Brewery & Keghouse.

10. Social Responsibility

Social Responsibility

Whether it’s enjoying a drink after a hard day at work/with the kids, a celebration or a commiseration, an avenue to de-stress, or a way to bring people together… alcohol has many social benefits.

However… we also acknowledge it is a vice that has the potential to damage lives and families.

Therefore, we are committed to a strong Social Responsibility & Impact presence donating to supporting victims of drink driving and domestic violence and proactively addressing some of the negative consequences of alcohol. We will be heavily involved in the community via sponsorship and supply to local sports clubs and other community organisations.

We run 27 taps in the taproom. All of which are available for purchase by the keg. We have a range of beers, RTD’s, spirits, seltzers and sours. Cocktails are available on a pre-order basis.

Nooooo!!!!! We are a commercial brewery providing a commercial product. Visit our facility and you’ll see what we mean. All grain brewing, no extract.

We run a ‘swap & go’ model with 20L commercial Talos kegs. Simply call or pop into the Taproom to see what’s in stock and walk away with your new kegs.

If you own your own Corny Kegs, we can clean, sanitise and fill. We’ll just need about a 72 hour turnaround time. Alternatively you can purchase a commercial coupler and take away one of our kegs and we can store your corny in our coolroom.

No problem. If you’re 2nd hand system comes with kegs we can refill those for you. If not, you can pick up some A-Type couplers from us and take advantage of our swap & go model

Member 20L keg pricing is $120 for core range (most beers), $140 for premium range (some beers, all RTD’s), and $345 for top-shelf range (cocktails).

If we use an example keg price of $120, this works out to $2.55/schooner. Far more cost effective than going to the pub!

If your beer is stored correctly at the right temperature and pressure, it will last 9 months.

Absolutely! Chris–our Head Brewer–has the skillset to make RTD spirits (eg Gin & Tonic, Rum & Ginger Beer) and cocktails (eg Mojito and Margaritas) on tap for enjoyment in your Home Keg System. We will also be brewing hard Ginger Beer, Seltzers and Sours. With the right attachments you can serve soda water, kombucha, even cold-brew coffee!

The main factors to consider include:

  • A space for your Home Keg System – they are suitable outdoors if under cover and require 50-100mm clearance on either side for ventilation (just like a normal fridge)
  • Your general alcohol consumption levels and how much variety of beverages you want to have – keep in mind our range will include beer, ginger beer, RTD spirits and cocktails, seltzers and sours.
  • Budget – with 1-6 tap options available, there is a Home Keg System to suit every budget. While the upfront investment is a consideration, the long-term savings are undeniable.

Yes, assembly is required. We provide detailed instruction manuals and videos, making the process relatively straightforward. We offer an assembly service ($150) and a delivery + assembly service ($300).

Cleaning your beer lines is recommended to ensure the highest quality and taste of your beer. This should be done every few months and once again is a relatively straight forward process. Beer line cleaning kits are available to purchase from Tap That.
